Al Mawrid Printing Press needed an elevated platform for chillers and a pump room. DPSC designed the steel detailing, fabricated the structure in Al Quoz, and erected it on site with a mobile crane.
Scope
- Heavy columns and primary beams for plant loads
- Secondary steel and deck support
- Access stairs and guardrails
- Crane-assisted erection
Why it matters
Plant platforms carry concentrated, vibrating loads, so connections and bracing need care. The platform was detailed around the equipment footprints and service routes so MEP could follow straight on. This was one of several jobs for the same client, including mezzanine works.
