Fabrication and erection are two halves of the same job. When different companies handle each half, small problems at the interface turn into delays on site. DPSC is a fabrication and erection company in Dubai: we fabricate the steel in our Al Quoz workshop and erect it with our own riggers, erectors, and supervisors, so one team owns the result.
What our erection teams do
- Setting out and checking anchor bolts and base levels before steel arrives
- Lifting and placing columns, beams, rafters, and trusses
- Bolting, site welding, and torque checks on connections
- Plumbing, lining, and levelling the structure
- Installing bracing, purlins, girts, decking, stairs, and handrails
- Touch-up painting and final inspection
Safety comes first
Steel erection is high-risk work: heavy lifts, working at height, and hot work. Every DPSC erection has a method statement and risk assessment, a lifting plan for crane work, a safety in charge, and daily toolbox talks. Our crews use harnesses, edge protection, and exclusion zones, and incidents are reported and investigated so they are not repeated. Read more in how steel goes up safely on site.
Why one contractor is better
- Fewer interface problems. The people detailing the connections are the people bolting them.
- Smarter sequencing. We fabricate and deliver in the order the erection needs, which saves crane time and laydown space.
- Clear responsibility. If something does not fit, one team fixes it, without arguments about whose fault it is.
- Faster programme. Workshop and site teams talk every day.
